Laser tattoo removal is a quick and effective way to lighten a tattoo. It can be used on body art tattoos and cosmetic tattoos such as permanent makeup or microblading.

Using concentrated light beams the laser breaks down the pigment particles in a tattoo. The body's immune system then gradually removes these pigment particles over time.

The number of sessions needed will depend on a number of factors including the pigment used, placement on the body and each persons own response.

You will require a consultation prior to any treatment which includes a laser patch test.

Does it hurt?

The treatment can feel a bit stingy, similar to an elastic band flicking the skin. This sensation stops as soon as the treatment does.

How long does the treatment take?

This depends on the size of the treatment area. For example brow removal typically takes around 5 minutes per brow.

What is the aftercare?

It is normal to feel mild sensitivity or redness for a few days after although not everyone experiences this. You will need to keep the area clean and dry for the first 72 hours. Aftercare can then be applied for 1-2 days.

How often can I have the sessions?

We need to leave 8 weeks between sessions. This allows the body sufficient time to break down and remove the pigment particles. This also minimises risk of side effects by ensuring the skin heals properly between sessions. It also optimises the effectiveness of subsequent treatments by allowing the immune system to process and remove the pigment.

If you are having a new tattoo over the treated area, we need to wait a minimum of 12 weeks before the new treatment.
